Because Tailwind is a framework for building bespoke user interfaces, it has been designed from the ground up with customization in mind.
By default, Tailwind will look for an optional tailwind.config.js
file at the root of your project where you can define any customizations.

Mobile-first Approach
By default, Tailwind uses a mobile-first breakpoint system, similar to what you might be used to in other frameworks like Bootstrap.
What this means is that unprefixed utilities (like uppercase) take effect on all screen sizes, while prefixed utilities (like md:uppercase) only take effect at the specified breakpoint and above
Customizing Breakpoints
You define your project’s breakpoints in the theme.screens
section of your tailwind.config.js
file. The keys become your responsive modifiers (like md:text-center), and the values are the min-width where that breakpoint should start.
The default breakpoints are inspired by common device resolutions:
